The Magistral Church is peculiarly interesting: it is in a pure romanesque style. The restoration has given relief to the vaults of the burgundian-cistercian influence. The altar is in the most ancient form of the romanesque structures.

On the 16^th of October 1982 H. E. Mgrs. Mario Ismaele Castellano O. P., Archbishop of Siena, blessed the church and on the 19^th of September 1987 it was consecrated by H. E. Mgrs. Fernando Charier, Auxiliary Bishop and General Vicar of Siena.

Main celebrations:

Second Sunday and the 17^th of May: official celebration and liturgical feast of Our Lady Queen of Militia.

Third Sunday and the 19^th of September: official celebration and liturgical feast of the anniversary of the Dedication of the Magistral Church.

27^th of December: feast of St. John the Apostle and Evangelist, titular Saint of the Magistral Church and main Patron Saint of the Order.

Weekdays, at 19:40: Vespers sung by the Knights.

Sundays and others Holy-days of obligation: at 9:30 solemn Holy Mass, celebrated in tridentine rite with Gregorian chant. On July and August it is recommended to inquire beforehand by telephone (0039/0577/936009).

Plenary Indulgence:

H. H. the Pope John Paul II, through the rescripts of the Apostolic Penitentiary of the 13^th of September 1989 and the 21^st of November 1999, grants the Plenary Indulgence to all roman-catholic faithfuls who are taking part to a rite in the Magistral Church of Militia Templi or who visit devotedly this Church in the following days:

	Easter, feast of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ,
	23^rd of April (St. George the martyr),
	Second Sunday of May (our Lady Queen of Militia),
	17^th of May (our Lady Queen of Militia),
	29^th of June (Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles),
	15^th of August (Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary),
	19^th of September (anniversary of the Dedication of the Magistral Church),
	8^th of December (Immaculate Conception),
	25^th of December (Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ),
	27^th of December (St. John the Apostle and Evangelist).

In order to get the Plenary Indulgence every day the participation to the rite or the visit of the Church must be made by a community (family, group of friends, association etc.). The conditions are the usual ones, as prescribed in the Enchyridion Indulgentiarum.

Plenary Indulgences granted to the members of the Militia:

All members of the Militia, of the Scouts groups and of the promoted or sponsored organization can get the Plenary Indulgence:

On the day of their admission in the Militia, and on the liturgical feasts of:

	St. George the martyr (23^rd of April),
	St. John the Apostle and the Evangelist (27^th of December).

On the particular condition of the renewal, even private, of the promise to observe loyally the Constitutions and\or the Rule. The Knights also on the day of their Solemn Profession and\or Investiture and on its anniversaries. The Ladies, besides the above-mentioned feasts, also on the day of their Perpetual Donation and on its anniversaries.
